LATIN AMERICAN ARTISAN PROGRAM

Preserving cultural heritage while building sustainable commercial pathways.

PURPOSE

Cultural heritage is also an economic asset.

Across Latin America, generations of artisans have preserved specialized knowledge in textiles, weaving, embroidery, leatherwork, jewelry, accessories and other forms of craftsmanship.

Yet many heritage-based businesses operate within fragmented or informal commercial systems. Limited pricing infrastructure, sourcing challenges, production constraints, intermediary dependence and restricted access to larger markets can prevent artisans from capturing the full economic value of their work.

The Latin American Artisan Program strengthens the commercial infrastructure surrounding craftsmanship while respecting the techniques, cultural knowledge, provenance and communities that give the work its value.

The objective is not to industrialize tradition. It is to help communities benefit economically from preserving it.
